Hope someone can help here as wiring definitely ain't my forte.
What would be the probable cause of ignition-timing sensor wires burning out and is it a auto spark or a DIY job to repair? TIA

Should also add the car turns over but won't start.

Some idea of the car and the engine type would help a bit here.

What do you mean by an "ignition-timing sensor?" Does it read off the crank/flywheel or the distributor? How did it get burned.
