A word of warning.
A couple of weeks ago they were selling these on ebay as fit for Rover 75s. People bought them and only then found that they didn't fit at all. A lot of hassle.

I bought a second hand one to cure many problems on my diesel Astra. Although I can't speak for the quality of the 'new' ones, but as I trawled through the many ads they all referenced the Bosch Number, so if you do your homework there shouldn't be a problem.
But if R40 means the a different Bosch Number advertised than that physically stamped on the MAF, then I sympathise.
Some kind person posted a Bosch Website link a few weeks ago for cross referencing Bosch devices/sensors for most cars. Very useful indeed.
