Boy number 1 (9 years old) was looking for some posters to put up in his room this afternoon. He picked out an advertising newspaper I was given for free and asked if he could use the front cover as a poster. I was just about to say OK when I noticed it was a picture of the new Fiat Croma!
I dont know, you try to educate a child then he throws this in your face...

You got trouble brewing there.

He could turn out to be one of those weirdos later on in life who prefers hideous saloons to hot hatches.
I'd watch him if I were you.

It'll probably be OK so long as he doesn't think that metallic gold has been a socially acceptable car colour at any time since 1972.

It could have been worse, he could have been pointing at a Doblo!
Don't laugh (!) but before Adam joined this forum and people started hurling abuse, I actually quite liked the look of the Focus saloon when I first saw one.
btw isn't the FIAT website rubbish? I just looked now and got dizzy watching the cars roll by glancing through the 'showroom'.

When I was 9, I really liked the Fiat Croma of that era.
Yes, he's definitely weird.

Say hello to Mike. My new best friend.

This confirms my worst fears. Time for some re-education from TopGear and UKGold I think...
|
He presumably thinks turning up at school in a Croma is much more cool than your present car...

Stuart, my son WALKS to school and always will, though he does plead for a ride in the Focus Ghia occasionally.
In fact, when I help to transport the u12 lacrosse team the boys queue up to ride with me (quote: 'your dad goes dead fast doesnt he').

Alastair,
please be very, very careful. Addiction to Croma posters among pre-teen boys is on the increase and can be an early sign of confused mobility.
If caught early enough it can be cured with a monthly subscription to Play-Jag. More serious cases may require a cutout poster of the Ferrari 512BB.

Surely that is like him having a pic of Bridget Bardot on his wall!

Worrying isn't it, mine likes Citroens and posts on the backroom.
|
That's a wicked thing to say!
:-)

........not as weird as my Brother who purchased a Renault Vel Satis last week!

Another Xantia driving student! I love the Backroom at times. Good to see more young people seeing the light and abandoning the 1.1 litre shoeboxes ;)

Yep, couldn't agree more Michael.
I find even my Focus is a bit on the small side, I could really use something bigger but unfortunately that just wouldn't work with my future job...

The lad's just growing up and needs a bit of guidance.
Thank your lucky stars it isn't a Triumph spitfire picture he wants on his wall. (Not yet, but hormones will take over eventually).

I have a photo of the abandoned remains of an old sit-on lawnmower on my computer.
So I'd guess a pic of a Fiat Croma is within the bounds of normality.
Cheers, SS
