Customer satisfaction - former farmer
I have used Kwik-Fit on a couple of occaisions for oil changes,in the spring and just last week.

On the second time the price was almost half the price of the first!

On both occaisions the staff were curteous and fitters highly competant.

What did surprise me was that both times within a day or so I had a phone call asking about the service I had received. Do many other companies go to this sort of trouble ?

For the cost of a telephone call they give the impression of concern and efficiency, which may actually be the case. My partner always gets a call from her car dealer, within a few days of having had her car serviced. It doesn't cost the much and I think it is a nice practice. Candidly I am surprised that Kwik Fit do it but, if they do, well done to them.

I've used Kwik Fit a lot as they are quite near me (phone round to get the cheapest price first - then go to local Kwik Fit and ask them to do a "price match" ) and they do phone up and ask if everything ok BUT then they ask when your car insurance is due and can they quote you etc, also they are now selling breakdown cover, MOT insurance etc so although it's nice to get a call the prime reason is to make contact with you and market other products to you (that's why they ask you for full name . address, phone no when you just buy a tyre).

Some years ago my wife took her Nova to our local Kwik-Fit for a new exhaust. As they were doing a free brake check she had that done as well. You've guessed it, everything needed changing.

Now I don't know what they make exhausts and brake shoes out of, cardboard probably. The exhaust lasted just 13 months, compared to other budget fitments, before and after, which last 3 years. The brake shoes lasted just 10,000 miles compared to 60,000 for the OE set and 40,000 so far for Halfords items.

I don't wantpink fluffy dice customer care, I want value for money!

Once you've had your brake friction materials changed by Kwik-Fit don't they say they then guarantee them for the remaining time you own the vehicle, or has this policy now been discontinued?

I'm never going back to Kwik Fit again. I have my reasons but I'm not going to go into them here for fear of getting into trouble over the name and shame policy.

I too would not touch them with a bargepoll.

Leaking valves not replaced with tyres (charged for) and tracking adjustment charged for without movement of the track rods!
