Is vauxhalls semi-synthetic oil ok for Dti engines, Thanks.

Does it not depend on the servicing schedule.I,ve got a litre of Shell Helix as top up for my Zafira DTI, it was what VX sold me as the oil i needed. However mine is on a 12 monthly service and does about 9K/Year so i do not need "longlife" oil.

if its on yearly servicing use 10/40 semi synthetic 2 yearly requires the long life 5/30 oil

Thanks for the replies, yes i change it every 5-6000, so the vx semi-syn is ok for petrol & diesel ?
