The alarm on SWMBO's 2001 Yaris was being continously set off during last night's downpour. I presume due to the (very) heavy rain. In the past I have noticed that it does seem very sensitive and will go off at the slightest provocation.
Is there a way to reduce the alarm's sensitivity?
The owner's manual talks about the immobiliser and the remote central locking but nothing about the alarm system.
TIA.

I don't know how it's done but i know it can be done - i used to just throw the keys at a technician and he would do it for me!

Try shutting the air vents on the dash to see if things improve.

Thanks for the responses.
I've found (what I think maybe) the control unit - it's a small box 7x6x2cm, located in the passenger side footwell underneath the dash.
It has the following markings;
Front :
T.V.S.S
Part No 08192-009200
...and has a small knob with a plus and a minus sign marked on either side.
Back :
Model 5460
MPT 1349
W.T. License exempt
Frequency Band 2.45GHz
