In the UK it would look very odd.
I first saw tinted windows in Saudi Arabia, where they are very practical. The white roof keeps the car cool, and the women passengers can remove their veils.

&. of course, it's UK where white is a wrong colour to have, loosing £$£$£$£ at resale time.
Although some current models look good...

Bloke over the road from me has a J-reg Rover 416 in white - it's one of the few cars I've seen in this colour that looks OK to me.
