I think this is motoring but my apologies if it's not.
And I am surprised to see the 'inane babble' post by DD, thought that would have gone down a lot during my absence!
Back to the point - I have read loads about youngsters under 16 now getting free bus travel in London, from yesterday - but what I haven't seen anywhere is if this is time-restricted? I admit to being lazy and not doing loads of research here, but does anyone know if this free travel includes rush hour (ie school travel) or not? If it doesn't it's really not that helpful!

Pretty sure its not time restricted. Older ones need photopass or some special species of Oyster. Got to run for a train or I'd look it up!!

Hi HF, from wot I can read on the TfL website, it appears to be free all day. See tinyurl.com/8oc4a
However, it's only for buses and trams, not tubes.
