Volvo 'Safari Green Pearl' as seen on a new S40. Someone paid £500 for this?!

Now that is vomit coloured

Rover did a vile metallic purple, Volvo do a sort of military camouflage colour, a lot of French cars seem to favour a nasty metallic lilac which must be a sod to repair and I confess to having owned a Vivianite Mercedes - (no I am not a footballer or a hairdresser!)
|
Metallic lilac is common on early Laguna II's because it looked like silver in the brochure, an ex colleague was caught out by this on a 51 plate Laguna II.
|
Silver - common as muck.

Anything metallic because they are all difficult to match in the case of an accident repair.

Not Harvest Gold you understand; as commonly found on the Ford Focus 1.8 Ghia Saloon. Ohhhhh no - no no no - those horrible garish gold colours.
The Harvest Gold shade found on the Ford Focus 1.8 Ghia saloons is gorgeous.
In my humble and honest opinion of course.

Ford Harvest Gold is much nicer than the radioactive Citrus Gold they replaced it with.
Bit off topic but I think flat red is making a comeback. Saw both an 05 Audi A6 and an 05 Volvo S60 in it this weekend and both looked really good and refreshingly different.

Why do people go off on a tangent?
Why not answer the question being asked rather than taking the discussion totally off the point!
Really bad manners

I had a 78 Cavalier which was a pale light greeny colour. On spotting it, my dentist described it as "bile green".
Always had a soft spot for the Harlequin Polo - each panel was a different colour - but only ever saw two on the road.
|
I've seen several Seat Arosas in a very, very pale greeny colour. (A bit like the background to this text in fact)
Thought it would be quite a fetching colour for sanitary ware, not too sure about a car though....
|
Thats it - that Volvo reminds me of an "avocado" bathroom suite.

I am not sure that people do go off on a tangent. Once i can remember talking about this with a friend in a pub in London. At that moment a Thames refuse barge passed by. Did you know 200,000 tones of rubbish are moved weekly on the Thames?
