I notice that most of the alloys on the Shogun Sport, even two or three year old models, have small areas of corrosion where the 'plastic' coating appears to have been pierced and a damp area spreads. Presume this has resulted from 'kerbing' or similar.

Is there any way of treating this problem, or does the complete wheel need to be recoated?
