No really. This isn't me in the market for one - an opportunity has presented itself.
I've been offered a Navigon PNA 150 GPS system. I know nothing about it other than it "in cracking condition" the accuracy of which I believe.
So, simply put - try and talk me out of it....again.

this was one of the Aldi specials. Rebadged Mio, based on windows CE (mods around to break open the Navigon front menu and access some of the CE features).
Its basic, how much?
|
Really?
You say it's basic. In what way? I care not for the Windows CE features which I know how to get to. I've been down the Pocket PC route and wasn't overly impressed.
Solely as a sat nav unit, should I?

do you want it? its good value for a sat nav at that price.

I want it so much it hurts.
Cheers RF.

Adam is hell-bent on spending his money this month, isn't he....
Will you get much use out of your SatNav? I thought you'd already decided that it would be a pointless gadget. Now if you actually need one...
|
go for it you know you want to and they are extremely usefull. although if you only go to the same places that you know how to get to, then a total waste of money. i would not be without it...cheers...keo
|
Woah
Hold on
You do know its a beige booted focus?
|
Yes it's a waste of money, no I'll hardly use it but yes - it is cool.
Here's what swung it - if I never spent the money on this I'd only have gone out and bought a pair of jeans, some shoes and a few t-shirts. Now I ask you - what's better - Sat Nav or some scrappy little rags?
It's one of those which will become useful over time more than anything else. I should get it tomorrow so I'll let you know.
Gold Rf. Gold.
Cheers,

Too many people look back in later life and think "If only.."
You can't take it with you and why should the offspring have all the joy for such little pain when you've left this world...:-)
At least you'll know from tomorrow which is the right direction to go in, Adam...:-))

So if it's second hand and sells for 200 quid new, offer 100 for it. On the other hand, Adam is from Liverpool and so it may well be brand new... just, erm, borrowed! :P
|
Hurtful. Very hurtful ;-|

That is below the belt.
Apart from the fact that I think/believe Adam may be from some way out of the city, the vast majority of Scousers (and my late parents and most of my relations originally hail from Liverpool) are as honest and hardworking as anyone else in the UK.
In fact my father served his engineering apprenticeship at Hornby in Binns Lane.
It's the usual story of the few spoiling the good name of the majority and that applies wherever you go.

I was born in Merseyside and so close to Liverpool that anyone from 30 miles away and further thinks I sound like a scouser (I don't).
In any event, Dave was only joking. Otherwise I'd have to nick his car.

Otherwise I'd have to nick his car.>>
How would you do that with its wheels missing and suspended on piles of bricks?

Ah! Now its all clear to me. If you live in Liverpool and you want to keep your car you run a round in......yes you got it.
I mean - Who would want to nick one of those? specially in Bei...I mean gold. < smirk >
|
If it wasn't so funny I'd be insulting you right about now.
