Renault Scenic Electric Gremlins - evotel

We have a 2001 facelift model Scenic.
There have been several instances where the car has 'unlocked' itself overnight.
In addition now it seems to be prone to the alarm going off during the night with no reason.
Has anyone had similar issues and managed to diagnose the causes.

I had this problem but on peugeot 306 it baffled myself and the garage for a while until I tracked it down to a faulty doorlock mechanism.With the doors locked go around all doors and give each a thump with your hand in the door lock area,that is how I found the problem on the 306.

The unlocking is caused by a door not thinking its shut properly, as described try knocking, or banging each door,

The alarm is usually caused by the bonnet switch, they are quite loose.

If Moggles our cat jumps on my Megane bonnet, sometimes the alarm goes off. It's very sensitive.

Don't forget that with radio frequency (RF) remote locking you can lock and unlock the vehicle from in the house whilst the car is on the drive (RF conditions permitting).

Is it possible you could be inadvertantly pressing the unlock button when removing your keys from your pocket at night (or other similar action)?

Door, bonnet and boot switches would be the next port of call. Also the connections thereto.
