Great indeed, thanks - up until about three minutes from touchdown whereupon communication kept dropping out and then ceased all together.
I guess this was server overload as the world and his wife wanted to watch, but a nuisance none the less.
The BBC news link also became sluggish and unreliable, and by the time things worked again it was all over.
Oh well!

I was connected to the BBC News live feed from 09:00 and it is now 13:26 about 10 minutes or so after landing and the feed has been 100% in all that time.
And they say office email is a distraction in the workplace :o)
Welcome home.

There can be a zillion reasons but I guess you may have been a lucky one in already being connected; I only tried to contact BBC when the NASA feed started to play up. Five minutes after landing the NASA feed was still dodgy but the BBC rock solid.
Agree with your e-mail comment! ;-)

Please God on Monday I hope their Discovery is more reliable than the earthbound ones...
It was an earth bound Discovery.

I reckopn DVD meant bound TO the Earth, rather than bound FOR the Earth.

Been watching the successful trip and landing of Discovery on BBC News 24, ITV News and Sky News...:-)
