Renault Espace 2.0 rxe 1998 - heater - Neal
we purchased this vechile about 2 months ago but since then heater in vechile has stopped working then suddenly started working but for past week again has not, seems like something is loose to me is there any ideas what i could look for many thanks neal

The first thing I would check is the coolant level. The car is relativly new to you and may have lost some. This could lead to an air lock in the system which has stopped the flow through the heater. The sudden working may be a temporary bleeding of the system.

A few more details would help, does the heater fan work? Is the engine temperature ok, is the carpet in the front damp etc.

I'm not a Renault specialist but someone with more knowledge than me will be along soon, I expect.

I would suspect an airlock as well. Worth checking first.

The fan has stopped working there is heat coming out but when turning switch from low to high just stays the same its like the fan is not working . no leaks or damp patches and coolant level is good car temperature also running good.
