...are great - well some of them.
Does anyone know a website or know from personal experience how to find out which service stations have free showers.
I just can't remember last time I went to London Gateway if they had them. I pretty much want the closest service station on M1 to London that has shower facilities (I might even squeeze to a pound or two if there are pay ones).
Thanks if anyone can help!

This is a great website that can be used by all. It shows the major motorways and for each junction what petrol stations, restaurants and pubs etc are 5 minutes away (hence the name).
It also gives details of what facilites the services have:
www.5minutesaway.co.uk/
And no, I'm not affiliated with this site, just think it's really good!

Looks like being Watford Gap services between 16/17 for a shower.

I?ve seen a couple of cracking sevice stations on my travels this year. There?s one close to Krakow and one near Gdansk that are both abandoned prop airplanes from the 50s or 60s. They become discos at night time. And was in one last Summer near the Czech border where the knives and forks were chained to the table and were washed by someone walking around carrying a bucket of soapy water. Fantastic.

Thanks Chris - nice website.
Watford Gap is sixty miles or so from London isn't it?! (from memory)...there I was thinking most service stations had showers...
I like the idea of chained down cutlery!!!
