fiesta 1.1 worn engine {new 1ltr} - bobbybarber
Have a 1.1 93 cfi/cat fiesta with worn bores / rocker gear. Have picked up a BRAND NEW 1ltr engine, beleave 89 dist less but with mech fuel pump take off. Can plate fuel pump hole. The bore is the same and from part Nos top half the same.
???? If i take crank and pistons from 1.1 fit the new rings from the 1ltr changing stroke =s half decent 1.1ltr engine???
IS MY THINKING RIGHT? ANY PROBLEMS?

I wouldn't use old piston rings in the other bores. I would measure the bores with an internal micrometer, and if the wear is minimal get a set of standard rings and see how it goes...

Yup, both engines have the same bore, so just put the new rings on the old pistons. Head is the same, so just swap. Valve timing is the same on both also.

I would say you have yourself a pretty easy fix there :-)

Only one 1.0 litre was made, and is was HCS. Engine code TLB.
