My daughter needs to find a trustworthy garage in Leicester, preferably in the LE2 postcode area. She needs a driveshaft gaiter replacing on a Fiat Cinquecento. Fairly straightforward job, I know, but I have seen a lot of errors by some mechanics on this kind of work in the past.
Anyone able to recommend?

I use Glenfield Motors (01162 313326). I must admit I have not done anything serious apart from regular servicing and MOTs - they seem to be honest and reasonable people.

I don't know if KL Cobb still exists in the city centre. They helped me out a few times and their prices were reasonable.
I'll never forget I turned up at their place with a brake problem on my car. They said they would work on it straight away! An hour later they had fixed it and the total charge £6!
They were doing £6 MOTs at the time (a few eyars ago) and their appointment hadn't shown up, so they just charged me what he would have paid.
I would give them a try, the can't ahve turned bad over the last 15 years, surely?
Another one I remember is an indian chap on a corner in Narborough road. He was very good and honest too. IIRC his dad helped to run it as well. I can't remember exactly which corner but he was closish to the city centre end. He may still be there.
