Honda Accord Alloy Wheels - Toolbox
Standard steel wheel size is 195/60R15, offset ET60. Local wheel dealer says its ok to fit Fox 3 Evo alloy wheels of same size but with an offset of ET42, which means they will stick out 18mm further. Experts say when replacing wheels you should stick to original offset as much as possible otherwise you will prematurely wear out suspension and steering components and tyres. Who should I believe ? Is a difference of 18mm too big ? What should I do ?

What age is the car? If it's the current model then the recommended offset for alloys is 55mm.
