Just an idea I had this afternoon, is this a good idea? Then when we are on the road we can spot other Back Roomers!
Any Thoughts?

There was a thread a couple of years ago and it died a death - most people agreed it was good. It was a cash thing that stopped it if I remember rightly.

If we were to have stickers i think that they need to be big enough to we can see them from across the carriageway perhaps?

What about sticking that on top of the aerial then we can all see it? Unless you're worried about the drag co-efficient of your vehicle!

Well I think I'd use one. We've done the money/revenue thing to death now, but surely it's not going to break the bank to buy a sticker?

A sticker, if well designed and tasteful, is a great idea.

I fear that HJ stickers will tempt trouble with the law. Murphy's Law.
You can bet your bottom dollar that the one time you are in a raging hurry on a life and death mission with a phone glued to your ear as the you talk to ambulance dispatch, you'll be doing it whilst tailgating a Backroomer. No amount of mitigation will relieve your discomfort as the moral minority lambast you at your every post.........

Yes - I can see us now muttering the passwords ' Pink Fluffy Dice' whilst giving the special handshake and carrying a rolled up copy of the Saturday Telegraph Motoring Section.
Senior members and Moderators would wear a pair of dodgy Ray Ban aviators and a felt hat at the lodge meeting in the pit at the local back street independent whilst slaying virgins over the bonnet of a TVR and chanting incantations to the grand master HJ....
( Wipes brow and takes tablets ... ) --I was getting carried away there for a minute - On second thoughts maybe just a sticker would be better

So do any backroomers know or associate with any other backroomers. Do backroomers ever meet up and have beers? Any backroomers sleeping with any other backroomers?
I sometimes wonder as I often go for weeks without speaking to other English people and this forum is an important point of contact with Blighty for me.
In fact I count Adski amongst my closest and dearest friends although for all I know he could be posting from a terminal in Strangeways at some rehabilitation class.

Haha Big Bad Dave, I am not sure which location you are speaking to us from, but I think it's pretty definite that I can meet most of your requirements.
Adam is great, I know. Very few as good as him, unless we bring Blue into the equation. Going now, cos have just found Renault keys. As one of the few Backroomers that has actually met others though, I'd just like to say that in my experience all the ones I have met are really good people.

My suggestion would be to have a down-loadable printable image on the website. Simply download it, then print it off on suitable peel-off sticky-backed paper. Then ask a grown-up to cut round the image with sharp scissors so it may be afixed to your car!
