Take a look at this short BBC news story:

The last line is a perfect example of 'It never rains but it pours!'

Why does nothing like that ever happen around my area?!
|
I was only joking about this last week, I p-x'd my motorbike for an older one, rode the bike over to the guy who was buying it and rode the other one back togther with a couple of grand in 20's and 10's stuffed in my jacket, speculated as to what might happen should I fall off.
The bike I sold was a ZX7R, one of the last, great fun though uncomfortable to commute. I now have a ZRX1100, as I say older though low mileage and good condition, good fun and a bit more sensible albeit a rocket ship by car standards.

My God. Has anyone ever had an unluckier day?
1) Lost £10000 in cash
2) Under suspicion from the police
3) Motorbike broken down
Now that is a really bad two junction journey.

Had a lucky windfall the other day, and now have £8,950 to spend on a new car - what should i get???
|
"what should i get???"
A lawyer mate, I get the feeling your windfall could well be hookey.

I live very close to where this happened but haven't found any notes in the garden yet.
According to one of the drivers who witnessed it (she used to work in our local), the scene was total chaos. People were stopping and running around grabbing what they could oblivious to other traffic. She saw one woman encouraging her pre-teen passenger to cross the central reservation to reach what had blown onto the northbound carriageway.
Isn't it amazing what greed will do?

But surely they were all doing it in order to return it to the owner...?
