Link doesn't seem to work.

Reckon it will in 4 hrs, 57 mins and 45 secs!
|
About 19:00 hours I reckon (wet finger in air)
|
No, 4 hrs 1 min and 30 secs IMHO.
|
I am clearly being dense here - what are you lot on about ?
|
Oh. I see.
I just looked at the website.
I'll get my coat.
|
2 hours 34 minutes and 30 seconds. Frankly, the suspense is killing me.
What are we waiting for again?

The side of that red one looks ridiculously like the current Punto don't you think?

Yeah, and it's rear has YARIS written all over it - well it would, if it didn't have Clio on it already.
|
It is, it has to be said, coming from a stylish car company, a fairly poor effort.
Specially when you look at the rumoured new Twingo.
|
Nice enough but a bit derivative. Possibly the Twingo is meant to be the 'stylish, younger choice' like the Ka is - or at least was - for Ford.
|
Not as adventurous as the Megane or as the current Clio was in '98.
Sorry RF, earlier in this thread I thought you were saying 19 hours, I have noticed you were in fact saying 19:00.
|
19:10 BST I reckon.

the web clock must be slow cos it was 19:00 BST 4 hours ago

I think it takes time from the system. Or perhaps there's been a delay :-o
Holding my breath ...
|
I think I can see the following cars in it: -
headlights - Merc CLS
Side shape - Peugeot 206
Rear - Old Focus/Current Astra
Interior - old Clio.
Boring boring boring. Give me a Jazz any day.

Espada III - well if you have a family and need a Lamborghini, what else do you drive?

It says it has a double optic. That's not going to add to the safety score.

Hmmm!
Deja vu?

lost some of its identity -- don't know why all the car manufacturers don't get together & just make one car between them, nearly all look the same now anyway - boring, boring, boring !! At least it doesn't resemble an MPV yet - maybe they are saving that look for the facelift in 12months time ??
|
I have to agree that it looks too much like other cars on the market. My personal thoughts were that it was a cross between a Peugot 307, Vauxhall Astra and Toyota Yaris.
I'm considering a Clio for my next car and was hoping that the new style would convince me further... I think I'll be going for the mark 2 though now as i prefer the fact that it is individual and doesn't look like a combination of all the other small cars on the market.

I must be the one out of step here - maybe through advancing age (56). To my eyes the new Clio is much easier on the eye than the current model, which (especially the 3-door) looks as if the man who designed the front end didn't meet his rear-end counterpart till fairly late in the proceedings.
It looks more like a big Modus than a small Megane - again a good thing in my book, as the back end of the Megane is ugly and impractical for rear-end visibility.
I think it'll do well. Clearly, chacun a son gout.
