Passat 2001 drivers seat creaking - mark
The drivers seat in my 2001 VW Passat has started to creak, I suspect something needs tightening/adjusting.

Has anyone got an expolded diagram of the seat construction so I can identify components that could need tightening or work out how it goes together.

Also has anyone tried to take the seat out or taken it to the point that it tilts so the underside is visible, I can't see how it comes off the runners but it looks like it might tilt upwards if certain components are undone.

Can't help sorry Mark but be careful of the airbag if it has one!

I gave up trying to stop the creaks on my 02 Passat a while back, particularly the dash.
