Can anyone suggest why the lights on my 306 (V-reg) no longer flash when operating the (keyfob) remote central locking? They just stopped and my dealer has no idea why. Everything else is normal.

I have a Citroen which uses the same sort of system. If I lock it with the remote the lights flash to indicate that the alarm is armed. If I lock it with the key it locks but no lights, no alarm. It could be that the alarm part of the system has developed a fault.

Does the alarm activate but the indicators do not flash - try opening the bonet and slamming it down - sometime the switch can be a bit dodgy on the peugeots. hope this has helped.

Thanks for those suggestions - but I don't think it has alarm system at all, it is just a remote central locking system, which itself works fine - it's just that the lights no longer give a visible confirmation that you're 'in range' and the locks have in fact operated.
