Just got a couple of quotes for my current bike, and another bike I am looking at getting:
Company A / Bike A = £460 Bike B = £240
Company B / Bike A = £350 Bike B = £477
I really wonder how these differences can be explained.

Fully Comp 1995 Honda CBR1000F,garaged,tagged £180/Year
In both cases full NCD, married, 2 children, homeowner in full time employment insured with Carole Nash.
For what it's with the Honda has starship performance, happily outruns all 600's and the majority of 750's.Best bike i've ever owned and it's my 4th.Having ridden R1's R6,s, VFR 750', XJR 1300sp, Divy 600 and 900, 600 Fazer nothing beats it for comfort. Wny oh why did Honda stop production.

I've alway's found Carol Nash expensive whenever I've had a quote. I just renewed with Profile. Homeowner, garage, GSX 750, £121 fully comp with legal cover for uninsured losses.

That surprises me Carol Nash was the cheapestlast year. Honda direct and Bennetts wer not even close. What was even more impressive was i went from a group 12 to a group 14/15 bike and TPF&T to fully comp and it cost me only £30 a year extra.

Hello All, thanks.
I am changing my 2 year old ZX7R (one of the last, sad to see it go) for a more practical - though still fun - '97 ZRX1100 and putting some money in the bank. The ZRX is worth £2500 ish, allowing for hefty excesses and loss of NCD (inc on my car) I am really only insuring about £14-1500, might take the risk and go TPFT + legal and recovery for £144.
