Car bits from Asda - Mapmaker
Asda have some very good prices on useful car things. WD40 for less than a couple of pounds (£3.50 in Halfords). Paint brushes are hugely cheaper than B&Q. When are they going to start stocking spark plugs, oil filters etc. like the French supermarkets do?

Havent really paid that much attention, but I'm sure the last time I was at the local Asda they had oil and things like windscreen wipers, lamps etc.

Not seen any car bits but I use Tesco oil for diesels (£1.78 for 1l) as a top up, Tesco value screenwash (last time was 24p/litre fully made up) and Tesco value car shampoo (also 24p a litre, looks suspiciously like the screenwash).

Avoid the Tesco Value oil though - it's under a quid a litre but it's 30W/50 or some such - almost completely useless on any modern car.

I haven't noticed bulbs or wiper blades in the supermarket, but EuroCarParts does them for about £3 compared to £6 in Halfords or £10+ at main dealers.

The ASDA nearest me only does deicer, screenwash and basic oil, but a newer one near work has 0.3 of an isle. Smartprice car shampoo 99p who dare try it first?

£3.50 for wd40 - a spray tin?? I bought a gallon of it with a refillable trigger spray for £7.50 a couple of years ago and still plenty left. From a motor factor.

or try Wilco - some products listed

IIRC they stock a spare bulb kit at a very low price
something like £1.75 for a H4 kit.

I bought some winscreen wipers from Tesco, the blades are great but the universal mountings are very poor, don't fit properly and if you manage to get them on, they are really stiff.

If you go to local discount stores you can buy the equivalent of WD40 for £1 or so produced by a range of UK manufacturers and many similar items for a fraction of the big name brands' prices.

One such store in my area is called B and M - there are many matching stores.

Another source, again in my area, is a seller who attends local car boot sales - he offers a staggering range of UK produced aerosol products, all at £1 a can.

Makro used to do a good range of car stuff (not been for a while) such as oil filters, plugs, and good oils such as Magnatec which was much cheaper than motor factors.

I'm sure I've seen WD40, along with a surprisingly good range of car cleaning bits, in Poundland. Their artificial chamois cloths (three for a pound) are good for the money.
