Having a few minor probs. with various things as follows: -
Heating - Sometimes the heater will only blow very hot or very cold with nothing in between.
Dash info displys - mileage, temp etc. displays sometimes seem to switch off for a split second. Usually everything is Ok after this happens but a couple of times it has reset everything.
Boot lock - sometimes pops open when stopped a traffic lights etc. Very annoying.
The car will be going in for its 37500 service shortly, but as the problems are intermittent, I have a feeling they won't find anything wrong.
Has anyone experienced similar?

Never heard of anything like it myself, but it sounds to me ;ike there is definately an electrical fault and I would insist on them finding it.
The only Fords that I know are very bad for wiring are Streetkas, we had to rebuild the entire electrical system on a brand new one when I started at Ford. Probably cost Ford a fortune as the entire car was stripped down, underbonnet, interior and dash all removed etc. It was the only way to get rid of the gremlins.

Sounds like a bad earth connection. IIRC, on some of the earlier MK3s, it was an earthing point at the side of one of the footwells that was bolted to painted metal. The solution was to take it off, remove some of the paint and refit. Let the dealer sort it under warranty.

Just got the car back from its service.
Heating - They have 'recalibrated' the heating controls. All seems fine at the moment.
Instrument Displays - to be replaceced under warranty.
Boot Lock - New Latch and Switch to be fitted under warranty.
