hi all
just got my tomtom go 300 from comet.
Oh My God.
what a fantastic bit of kit.
the people at Pocket GPS world are great.
downloaded their databases, uploaded to TT.
works a treat, 30,40,50,60 mph mobiles, gatso's specs and other speed warnings.
am actually looking forward to driving to durham at 6am tomorrow morning. got a job on. mmmmm double bubble too :-)

In view of the concerns expressed by owners of TTG Classic who have upgraded their units to V5, I would be interested to have your thoughts on the subject before I upgrade mine.

Hi,

Are you sure it was not £369.99 as that is what it says on the comet web site. If it is £300 I think I will be down the store tomorrow to buy one!

im chuffed to bits with it, guided me fine from brum to durham.
apart from the a1 just before or after the m62, it showed me in a field for around 1 mile !
they must be redoing the a1(M) ?
not been up there for 1.5 year.
when did they start that?
OAP...
i have no pre-conceptions about classic v's v5, as i have only had speed camera/laser detectors, and my road angel (that i bought for £300 quid off ebay with 6months updates for free), in the last 10 years.
so i cant say if i find it strange, sorry.
i just sold my road angel for £320. with no subscription, (yes i told the truth on ebay, b4 i get flamed!)
so for an extra £50 i got a brand new tomtomgo 300 (not £300!, £369.99) uploaded all the data from pocket gps world.
now it tells me when its a 30 gatso or fixed 50, which is more than road angel did for me.
like that irish geeza from pop idol/star says "i like it!"
