Hadrian Bodypanels - Advice Sought - ihpj
Are there any Backroomers that have heard of, or used a company, by the name of 'Hadrian Bodypanels' ( www.carpanels.co.uk/ ) at all? I've seen a bonnet advertised on eBay.co.uk for my PUG (item # 4544946562), where the Seller identifies it as having been made by/bought from these people.

I've visited the WWW and they seem genuine enough...but I've never really had any need to deal with body panels in isolation from an 'Insurance Authorised Repairer' (IE: when I've been invovled in a prang!) and @ £15 the bonnet seems cheap enough. My next problem will be to find someone conpetant enough to pre it and spray it the right colour - since fixing it doesn't appear too difficult. Anyhoo, anyone got any experience please?

I have come accross this make before, they are as good as any other pattern panels I have used.£15 for a new bonnet sounds a better bet than one from a scrapyard, unless you found a good one in your colour of course.Cannot help you with spraying unless you live Leeds.

Thanks for that Sierraman. Although the bonnet was on eBay, I was wondering how good it might be in terms of pattern part quality since I have no experience. It is a bare panel that will need priming and paiting...and £15 sounds a good price. I wouldn't mind one from scrap, butit's hard to find one in the colour I have (Aztec Gold Met.)...thanks anyways man.

ihpj,

Hadrian have been around for quite a while. Most of the pattern parts available for my Mk1 Escort back in the early 90s were madde by Hadrian.

They were of variable quality, most could be made to fit ok, some fitted straight away, some needed help from an angle grinder.
Oddly enough the nearside front wing was much much better than the offside front wing.

All my panels came covered in a horrible black paint...not really a primer as it flaked off easily. I think this was to prevent corrosion whilst stored but needed removing completely before using a proper primer.

Thanks mate...and yes this panel comes in that black colour too. Though having read the thoughts here I'm of a mind to leave it and get the car a very good machine cut and polish.

Thanks man.

There are a number of sites on the Web that if you ask them they will try and locate a spare that you want.

Such a site is:
