Leather care - meditek
It's rare you hit on a product that really does what it says!

I just used a Gliptone kit on my drivers seat which had worn slightly in places. The leather looks as good as new and, using their conditioner on the rest of the leather, the car now has that new leather smell.

5 stars.

Use with extreme caution!

I sent off money to this site after reading this thread (bottom post) www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=22256&...f

..and recieved nothing!

Send money at own risk.(if it was ebay it'll have a neg. feedback from me!

I've been using Autoglym leather care cream, admittedly on newish leather, it seems to be good stuff, keeping the surface shiny and supple; time will tell.

I'm happy with Autoglym also. They have two products - one firstly to clean, the other to condition or 'feed' the leather.

I have to say that I found the guy who dealt with my order very helpful. I ordered the wrong kit by mistake and he had another in the post same day. Perfect match. Nice leather smell.

Reckon most of these products come off onto clothes, my Mondeo leather is excellent condition but for the drivers seat being a touch more shiny than the rest after nearly 90k miles. It has only been hoovered and occaisionaly wiped with a wet cloth.

I have a cupboard of part-used leather cleaners, conditioners.

The Zymol cleaner and conditioner smell really nice, but leave the leather shiny and slippery. It did heal up cracks/creases fairly well.

The Autoglym I got was a combined cleaner & conditioner, smelled of souvenir fake leather keyrings and left the test patch shiny, I also I decided that I wanted seperate cleaner and conditioner, so scrapped that.

The Gliptone was off ebay, a cleaner and conditioner.
Worked well was not slippery, and took off some of the plasticy shine from the others, but left a strong fake leather souvenir keyring smell which is still awful when getting in the car two weeks later.

...I immediately thought biker leathers till I read the posts. Personally I find used engine oil on the old jacket and jeans does the trick quite well....:+D

I hope it is good old smelly mineral oil like Castrol R, none of this fangled synthetic stuff!

I've found Megiuars Cleaner & Conditioner to be quite good. Only thing I don't like about it is that the smell doesn't last long :(
