Here's this weeks poll, as suggested by Dutchess.

Since walking is a form of transport, and those who can't walk often have wheelchairs, surely everyone except the bed-ridden should answer "more than once a week"? (How do you get from the door to your car?)

Walking is NOT a form of transport.
Middle English: transporten, from Old French: transporter, from Latin trnsportre: trns-, trans- + portre, to carry;
To carry. Now to claim your legs carry your body would suggest they are seperate.

Walking is NOT a form of transport.
So someone who decides to walk a mile to work rather than driving will never get there?
trans- + portre, to carry; To carry. Now to claim your legs carry your body would suggest they are seperate.
Ever heard of the expression "as fast as your legs can carry you"?

Does that include Bicycle? I have ridden a land sled hauled by a team of Malamutes, does that count?

Malamute is not a form of transport, it's something to spread on your toast.

When I go on holiday, I use all sorts of means of transport that I do not otherwise use. Does this count?
|
When I suggested the question, I meant:
1 Include bicycle use
2 Only used once a year on holiday transport counts as "Less than once a month"
I didn't mean it to include walking coz unless you're Paula Radcliffe, it's not a viable method of getting more than a short distance.

But reading the actual poll, you didn't want to know that.
Just ignore me.

Is Shank's pony classed as a form of transport? If I was Shank I would expect it to be!

L\'escargot by name, but not by nature.

Not half as much fun as driving it!

\"Nothing less than 8 cylinders will do\"

Ride, surely?

Clearly you're all doing just fine without me.
So no pedantry from me this week.

There is a lot of hair splitting here already, so I need not apologise for pointing out that I needed another category between "Never" and "Less than once a month"; viz. "Never if it can possibly be avoided".
