Excuse me, probably most HJ members don't need to be told this , but I have a need for therapy reasons, to express this anywhere I can:
TO ALL MOTORISTS
YOU DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE IN YOUR SELECTION OF LIGHTING FOR YOUR VEHICLE.
WHEN VISIBILITY FALLS , THRU EVENING , MIST, RAIN, OR POOR LIGHT, THE LAW - EXCEPT IN VERY LIMITED CIRCUMSTANCES- REQUIRES YOU USE HEADLIGHTS.
NOT PARKING LIGHTS .
NOT PARKING LIGHTS WITH FOG LIGHTS , UNLESS IT IS FOGGY !
NOT A MIXTURE OF LIGHTS , SOME WORKING SOME NOT
THANK YOU

Don't forget all those out there who drive around with NO lights on!!!!!

Don't forget all those out there who drive around with NO lights on!!!!!
And don't forget all those that have dipped headlights raised almost to normal main beam level.
Or those that have one dipped beam abnormally high.
Or those......

Remember when it was legal to drive on sidelights where there was 'adequate' street lighting? I have a vivid memory of it, as I collided with a car I didn't see at a traffic island in 1971. The car had only its side lights on. I don't know why I didn't mention this to the police at the time. Cost me three points and two weeks wages.

I swear (frequently!)that some people think they are saving electricity. But to this list I will add:-
People with one broken headlight who think it makes things ok to use the other one on main beam,
Those who choose to drive with front fogs on because they think it looks 'cool' (noticable exception are the bikers who use one as a daytime riding light to be seen. no probs there.)
Usually, the original equipment lighting is perfectly ok, (apart from series landys, whose equipment is on a par with a candle in a jam jar). The fitting of enough spotlights to equip an anti-aircraft battery is decidedly anti-social. Besides which, the bombers have gone and the wars over. (sadly, the people most guilty of this seem to be truckers)
People who indicate (thank you, btw!)change lane on a motorway, then leave the indicator on for the next 30 miles.
And thats just lights! dont get me started on ...doof..doof..doof...
WTM
BTW, the heated rear window on the domestic boss's vauxhall shuts off after @ 15 minutes. wouldnt it be a good idea to have a timer on fogs as well?

Yes. Front and rear!
