I assume you mean a BMW... ;-)
You could try phoning up some of the rental companies to see if they've got one in stock.

Hello Mr BMW salesman I really like the look of that 02 330i SE you have on the forecourt, only xxx miles, nice colour, and an auto, ideal! You see I have a back problem, BMW seats are supposed to be very good however is there any way I could take the car for an extended test drive, perhaps 24 hours ???

I think you will be very lucky to find a dealer prepared to release any BMW on a 24 hour extended test drive.

My local Toyota dealer stopped this practice after a member of their staff witnessed some jerk burning serious rubber in an empty car park in a series of handbrake spins late on a Saturday night, during a supposedly "extended test drive".!!!

Problem with used cars is they haven't any tax, and you can't just potter about on trade plates for 24 hours.

The only car they might lend is a new demonstrator that is taxed.

Oh, and they can't tax the used car either, 'cos that adds an owner to the logbook.

The only place that might have a less than new car for rent is your local Rent-a-Wreck place. Check out your Yellow Pages book for ads for the really cheap hire places.

I've managed this - but they were new demonstrators, not used stock, and I was an established customer with a 33 month old BMW...

Equally, I knew a former receptionist for the BMW dealer in central Liverpool. When asked for any form of unaccompaned test drive (24 hours, 24 minutes, or 24 seconds!) the sales staff would just laugh.
