Velcro type boot carpet in new Focus - livefortheday
Hired a new Focus the other day.

V good car and found by accident a feature on it that I thought was brilliant.

Basically, the boot carpet acts like Velcro. What a cool idea. Stopped my computer case being thrown around.

Told a mate about this and he said he found that his Octavia boot carpet acted the same way.

Oh Blimey! No wonder the dog yelps when I drag her out. I wondered where the bald patches in her fur were coming from!

my bmw has a reverible boot mat,,one side is the same as the trim,,,the other side is a non slip mat,,,saves my laptop from sliding around as well :)

Now if only the Focus I hired about 5 years ago had non slip on the shelf under the dash. I got in put my sunglasses on, put my ordinary glasses on the shelf and set off. First roundabout I came to, my glasses shot off the slippery shelf and vanished somewhere under the passenger seat. It is real difficult to look for something on a black interior carpet when you are wearing sunglasses. I couldn't take them off because they are prescription and I am as blind as a bat without them. It made a bad first impression of the Focus and by the time I had driven it for a month I had decided that I definitely did not like it.
