I was actually quite impressed with the Guildford council initiative having had a case of car arson where I lived previously in Surrey.

One Saturday afternoon a carload of scroats robbed an off licence and came down our road on their way to the local council estate, lost control and smashed car up , leaving it with wheels awry, lights blazing and petrol leaking they ran off down the road.

It was a very obvious candidate for the match in the tank.

Despite our requests to the police and council the car was left like this until at 3 am Sunday we were awoken by an explosion and fire which took most of neighbours hedge as well . The local brigade took 3 hours to sort it out.

So why can't other councils follow Guildfords lead.
