Den, when I first got my Scenic from AC Bishopbriggs branch I had a couple of problems with it. I returned it to get repaired and after their second attempt I got cheesed off.
Phoned the branch to find out that they had a Cust Serv Mgr who covered all their Renault branches. Wrote him a letter, got a phone call from him the next day and, to cut a long story short, my car got repaired and I got £250 of accessories free.
He was very "no nonsense" approach, a spade was a spade. I drove away happy.

What exactly is your problem? My experience is that any dealer will help you if they see it as a genuine problem as well. If you are professional with your approach to them, they will be to you.

Re the website posting that was given, I have previously had a look on that and found articles had been posted allegedly on dates that were in the future! I will leave you to form your own conclusion on that!

I have no "interest" with AC other than having bought 6 cars from them and happy with service.

It may be that communication by letter did not go down too well. A friendly personal visit may have been much more fruitful.

With written communication, you NEVER know whether you are going to get a reply. Also, a written communication will probably be seen by the recipient as meaning that you want to keep written evidence ~ and that is not always the best footing for a conversation.

Thank you all for the replies.
Basically this is my bone of contention. It has cost me another £25 over and above the purchase price, plus the inconvenience of not having a car on two occasions, also the disrespect in not answering my letters.

Quite enough I'm afraid.

No naming/shaming around here. I'll let the thread stand as it is, but please don't continue it.
