£20 for something that you attach to a hosepipe thats a lot of money and you still have to rub it with a sponge and turn dials and things, too much like hard work, i'll probably pay the local guy a fiver to do it for me one of these days...cheers...keo.

I bought one from Costco last weekend and like the advert says, it does what it says on the tin! I really hate drying a car off and seeing streaks appear afterwards so this product is right up my street.
The rinse/soap/sponge down/rinse cycle does take some time (about as long as using some Triplewax in a bucket of water) but is more effective at lifting all of the dirt including alloy wheels. The Autodry effect with the de-ionised water is brilliant: the water just falls off the car and it drys without streaking.
More importantly, the car seems to have stayed cleaner for longer than it normally does after a wash: this polymer detergent may discourage rain water to stick as well.
So, I am fairly happy with the system. However it does seem expensive. My Costco Flash kit was 19.99 + VAT and included the starter pack (good for about 3 washes) and a free kit for another 10 washes. However, the refill kits cost £5 each for shampoo and deioniser - £1/wash, which as about 30 times the cost of a cheap car shampoo.
So, I enjoyed using it and will make my mind up in another 12 washes! However, I would rather do the car in the 45 seconds that they managed in the World Rally Championship: that is what you call a Flash Car Wash. Maybe that's coming out next year!
