Surfing the H&H Auctions site and came across a barn find Lamborghini Espada for auction at top estimate below £4K
Here is the link: www.classic-auctions.co.uk/
Click on the car auction section and search alphabetically.
Seems cheap for an Espada but expensive for a pile of rust that will annoy the missus for years. Having said that one of the Classic Car magazines ran a feature where a guy restored an Espada for peanuts.
Finally, car is nothing to do with me.
Actually, in someways it would be cool to get it running and MOT'd and leave the rest as is.
That would annoy the purists

The registration on the Espada is probably worth a bit too.

Likelyhood is that someone else is driving around on that reg, the Espada has not been taxed since mid 80's so unless the owner had the reg on retention it could be lost.
The Espada could be a great project, wish I had the time, however reckon it will go for more than estimted if it is not a rust bucket.

Aw shucks.. you should na have.....
Its lovely isn't it, even with the poor paintwork. Now that's a Car!!
The only problem is that I chose my pseudonym when we had two children....daughter arrived six months ago so an Espada III is now too small. Maybe one of those LM002s wold fit the bill now???

Espada III - well if you have a family and need a Lamborghini, what else do you drive?
At that price, you could get the Espada and a cheap saloon to run the kids around in!
Why did you post that link? I've been suffering from must-have-another-classicitis and that SP250 looks just the thing. The itch is getting worse, I'll have to scratch it soon. Help!
I could, but I'd spend so much time working on the Espada that I'd never see them or their mother.....Hmmmmm....
No, on the whole, I think I'll wait until I win the lottery and have flunkies to sort it out for me.

The Bentley looks good and the Lotus......One of my (many)failings is that I can find good in virtually any car....that could explain my depleted bank balance!
What about the Douglas Dragonfly on the motorcycle list?
I'd bid for the XR4i although I don't ever remember a tool kit (pictured) as standard on this model or indeed on any Ford?
First tool kit I saw in a Ford was in one of the first 2ltr Sierra Ghias. Round moulded box, fitted in the spare wheel, a few spanners, pliers etc. I "rescued" them when the car was disposed of. Still have the tools, box fell apart.

Espada. Is this not a Black ugly fish from the depths in the Atlantic with huge eyes that looks like an eel, loved in Madeira.

Went to the automobia auction yesterday and had a look at the cars up for auction.
Not really anything that caught my eye as it was the usual classic auction fodder of unpopular colours, tired cars and odd spcs.
Took some pictures of the Lamborghini Espada:

I thought it hasd potential, but the friend I was with said it was the biggest heap of junk he had seen in a long while and that I should not be let out on my own!

I think it's highly irresponsible of you ( ;-) ) to post a link like that. That Lancia is gorgeous, The Bentley Continental rather nice, the Merc 190 is tempting but how did all of those Bs get in ?

Well the E111 needs more than a wash and brush up before that's going on the road.
I think I'll find another Esapda lover to take this one and I 'll look for the concours version when the lottery has finally chosen me.

Just checked and the car went for £6600 + commission etc.
Seems a lot.
