New 3 Series - diesel options. - Pugugly {P}
SWMBO sees me sitting in a new car in the new fiscal year coming up (tax reasons). I am personally very happy, but would entertain a new 330d if I had a gun to my head. Just checked out the BMW site and there is no mention of six cylinder diesel, what's happening ?

PU - I don`t know when your financial year ends, but launch date for the E90 330d is looking like September.

BMw are supposed to be bringing out a 335d with the 270 bhp sequential turbo engine from the 5 series. Don't know when though. Having sat in a preproduction E90 330i, I have to say it's a really impressive piece of kit, interior very similar to present 5 Series

Dragged myself to the local dealer - had a supervised spin in their E90 (2.0 diesel). It is sharp - very sharp (They know how to impress !)

Having never seen an E90 I thought I'd make an effort to. Very impressed with the front and side but what's going on with the back? The lights look like something you'd find on an older Hyundai!

Quite an ugly rear. Sorry.

It is sharp - very sharp


... and just like the car was carved out of a solid block. I have driven it too but SWMBO will dictate that I will have to be satisfied with my present 320d.
Undoubtedly an E90 330d will follow, and corresponding Coupé versions. Recently I have noticed an E46 320d Convertible, so I guess all options are open!
