My 306 '99 2.0 HDI Estate has for some time made a slight grinding noise when accelerating HARD! But about 1 week ago it's started to do it under normal acceleration. It appears to be coming from the nearside front. It doesn't seem to matter if you are turning or going in a straight line it still does it. It also does it if you are in second with the clutch fully open and you give it some welly.
Is it anything to do with transmission or possibly a CV? Any guidance or advice appreciated?
