Merc C240 roof trim

Merc C240 roof trim - alloyd
The trim strip on my car roof has sprung leaving it well clear of the channel.Any advice as regards re-attaching this strip and thus avoiding more dough going to MB would be much appreciated.

Use some clear silicone and tape it down while the silicone cures.

Please don't use silicone, get the correct clips from merc.

Someone at some piont in the future may need to remove those trims to replace the windscreen, sticking them down don't half make it difficult to remove them.
