I've seen a Mercedes C270 2.7 CDi Avantgarde Saloon on sale for £15,500.

Does this make sense or will I be buying an expensive door-stop?

I believe it has FMSH ....

It's worth about £11k according to Glass's so on a forecourt i guess you'd be looking at about £13k.

What is the rest of the spec? i presume it will have auto and leather in a decent metallic colour. If it's a manual with cloth in doom blue i'd run a mile!

I saw a 270 cdi Avantgarde auto on a 51 plate with 55k on the clock make £15,500 at auction last week. This was despite it being of unknown origin and without a full service history.

So maybe the one you're looking at isn't that far off on price.

Mind you everything was selling very very well that day.
