Can anyone recommend an installer of a Hands-free kit for a car phone?
The last time I had this done (4 years ago) I used the Carphone Warehouse and it was about £100 supplied and fitted. It now looks like it will be over £220! I want something permanantly fitted as I will have the car 'til it dies and I will be buying a new phone soon (Nokia 6230 probably).
It would need to mute the stereo and either have a seperate speaker or be wired into the stereo's. Is this likely to be a problem with a new Volvo?
Any recommendations or tips appreciated!
And no, I don't want one of those silly things people stick in there ears............
Cheers!
Gavin

Halfords provides a service for buyers of its handsfree kits and other in-car products such as CD players etc.

Get a real one from someone like Carphone Warehouse even if it does cost more.
Nokia now make all their car kits the same, other than the crade. Thus, as life goes on, all you need to do is change a £12 cradle each time you change your phone rather than the whole kit.
Not only that but you'll get all the stuff to feed it through the stereo speakers, muting of the stereo, decent quality equipment and someone to complain to if you don't like how it works.
And of course you can get them for 72p from goodness knows where, but you will get what you pay for.

Thanks for the advice. You have reinforced my gut feeling. :0)

Halfords are doing it half price just now - only £50. Fully fitted and mutes your stereo!

If you are buying a new car - specify it with a phone kit.

Thanks for the advice but Volvo want £335 PLUS fitting. Ouch!
