The Highways Agency have littered the motorways with expensive display signs but I wonder why. Came along the M6 last night from the start at Catthorpe and the signs, except the M6 Tollroad Clear, all said gritting in progress. And what didn't we see, any gritting. Just as we left at the M54 junction they did actually mention that the road was blocked between Junctions 15 and 16 but why not before then?

I've long suspected that the Highways Agency (and similar)was staffed by ex British Rail personnel. This is yet another instance to back up my theory!
