I had the same problem. Turned out to be the anti-roll bar bushes. I think Vauxhall call them stabiliser bushes. Easy job and still ok 20k later

ordered two today and will fit when weather permits, will let you know the outcome.Steve (Thanks)

AT LAST .the knocking noise has finally gone due to fitting of new anti-roll bar bushes, i struggled last Sunday fitting tne suspension arm bushes as i didn't have the recommended franklin tool, so in conclusion if you have a vectra knocking at the rear end change the anti roll bar bushes first (only cost £3 odd + vat ) from dealers as the other bushes were £35 of ebay.hope this helps some of you veccy owners out there.
Regards Steve.

Well done Steve, and sorry for misleading you into thinking that it *could* have been the other bushes, as mentioned in an earlier thread.
