Mondo Accelerator Pedal - DaveKent

Just bought a second hand P Reg mondeo 2L. When the engine is running and I'm stationary if I very faintly touch the accelerator pedal it vibrates like a foot massager....lol. I've never experienced this before in any other car. Anyone got any idea what is going on? Many thanks in advance. Dave

It sounds to me as if the cable is touching something, or has become uncliped from a restraining bracket.
The last car I actually experienced this in was a 1965 Lotus Elan. I don't think its anything to worry about, its probably just transmitting engine vibration.
You havn't got a missfire, have you? That might make it feel worse.

Thanks for the info. No, no missfire. Just this funny little vibration on the pedal. Once my foots on it and i'm driving I cant feel it. It's just when your sitting there and faintly touch it.
