Today our 2000 Mondeo (old shape) has started 'creaking' from the front passenger side suspension area, when going 'round left hand bends. What's that most likely to be?

Not much help to you but one of my mondeo's does this on the straight as well but it is not yet very loud & doesn't always do it.
Tride pulling bits around to check for movement but nothing stands out.
Any idea chap's

You'll probably find it's just creaking suspension bushes. Pushing down on the front of the car and hearing the creaks might help you identify which one it is. If you've got waxoil, spray it on the bushes and it should quiet down.

As a safety measure just check the front springs and ensure that they are not broken or show any serious signs of rust.
It is very common for these to break on all MK1 (93-96) and MK2 (96-01) vehicles. If the truth were told they are not upto the job of holding the weight of such a heavy car.
