Can anyone help me with instructions for removing the driver's seat from a '95 Escort 1.6Si?
I need to repair the supporting "mesh".
I can't seem to find the way to free the seat from the runners.

I havn't removed a seat from an Escort, but from working on other cars, you usually have to unbolt the runners from the car floor and then the seat/runners come away together. Make sure that if you have seat belt pretensioners/seat mounted airbags etc they are disarmed first!
You may have to slide the seat right forward to do the back bolts and back to do the front.

Thanks mjm. I doubt I have either pre-tensioners or seat air bags on that model, but will check VERY carefully!!
