I'm considering buying a Citroen C4, but I would be interested to hear if anyone has got one (especially a 2.0 HDi) and if they've had any problems with it.
I was at a dealers on Saturday looking and was rather put off by what I saw:
- one of the rear doors on the demonstrator wouldn't open
- one in the showroom had 2 paint defects where the lacquer had bubbled up
- one that looked like it was prepped for a customer (flowers in the boot) had 3 mechanics crawling all over it doing all manner of things to it - including gluing down the plastic trim on the rear screen with Sikaflex, messing about with fuses whilst cursing and replacing bulbs (all this inside the showroom!)
I've had Citroen's before and they've never been any trouble - at least I've managed to get them off the dealers forecourt before anything has fallen off!

Me & MrsH are seriously thinking about a C4, but are going to wait for a bit until the car is a more sorted. I think just about every car that comes along has some niggles at first, we'd rather someone else kept taking the car back to the dealers to fix them. It's not unique to Citroen.
Had a visit to the local dealers and I've got to say the C4 is a nice place to be. Everything from the drivers seat is interesting and well put together, a pleasing return to the type of Citroens we had before the Xsara.

I hope the door problem isn't a continuation of the same problem that has plagued the C5. If so, they obviously haven't sorted out the cause of it.
