Does anyone have any experience of this firm.
They seem to have fantastic prices (re VW Touran) - but have yet to return a phone call?

I would be very carefull of lots of the internet companies. I have heard very poor feedback on several. A bmw one in particular.
In general though if they dont get back to you when you want to give them money what chance do you have if you have a problem AFTER purchase ?

Do a Usenet search on Micronet - that will answer your query!!

Go here: groups.google.co.uk/grphp?hl=en&tab=ng&ned=uk&q=
Usenet (newsgroups) are text-based (rather than web-based) Internet forums that are grouped very tightly according to topic area.
Google puts a web interface on them - very helpful.

Many thanks to all -
the next best prices seem to be Virgin Cars.
The negative feedback seems to be around 3-4 years old on the usenet groups. Can anyone reccommend them?
thanks again

What's the actual spec you're after?
|
2.0 TDI SE 7 seater
or
1.9 TDI 'S' 7 seater
|
For the record, Virgin is doing them for £13,899 and £15,999 respectively.
www.motorprovider.co.uk has a 5 seat (!) 2.0 SE TDi at £15,581 and so it may be worth calling them for a seven seater.
Other than that, I can't beat Virgin's prices. Next cheapest seems to be www.carhound.com at £14,074 and £16,344 respectively, closely followed by www.cheapestukcars.com that has them up at £14,246.48 and £16,398.98 respectively.
I have to say that I've not heard much about either of those but carhound has been around for a while. Whatever you're considering, make sure that you pay no more than a small (ideally no) deposit to the broker and that it is paid by credit card, so you can dispute the charges if necessary. The balance and the order for the car itself must be placed through a UK franchise dealer, with the fees going to the broker after purchase.

I watched on tv 4 weeks ago (Watchdog) re Virgin it wasnt too good. I think the easy answer is dont pay up front for the car and only pay for it until you see what you are getting for your money.
