1997 Caravelle Club 8 2.5 TDI with FSH, 87000 miles, ours since new, tornado red, family use only, v. clean. What would be a realistic asking price in Autotrader?
Not an easy vehicle to value as not listed in usual Parkers, etc, unless you're in the trade (which I'm not).

It's not in Glass's either - only place i can think that it will be listed is in Cap Red which is for commercials as that is what it will be classed as.

Not an obvious one but there are a couple of comparable vehicles already listed on there - do a national search.
There is one apparently almost identical to yours (130bhp), except it's a 98 with 85k. That's in at £8,450. I think that's from a trader though.
If that one is correctly valued and priced to sell, I'd say yours should be about £7,995. However, if the spec is different (no air con, lower power, etc.) then it would be worth less and you might find you have to drop another £1,000 or so anyway.
The biggest problem you have is not so much matching supply and demand as having them appear in the same place at the same time - there really aren't many of these around.

I wonder if you have tried the VW Camper specialiast magazines and/or websites. Niche vehicle, and bound to be some VW enthusiast interest in my opinion.
